January 28–February 9, 2020

The 37th Kagyu Monlam will be held at the Kagyu Monlam Pavilion in Bodhgaya from January 28–February 9, 2020, presided over by His Eminence the 12th Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche. During the actual Monlam, an assembly of many thousands of monks, nuns and laypeople will gather to pray for the well-being of the world and for all sentient beings to be touched by the wisdom, compassion and power of the buddhas and bodhisattvas, and His Eminence Gyaltsab Rinpoche will teach on The Seventy Exhortations by the Kadampa master Geshe Kharak Gomchung, who was so dedicated that he had no time to cut the thorn bush outside his room. On the final day, His Eminence will bestow the Red Crown Ceremony and Long Life Empowerment in the morning, and events will conclude with the Marme Monlam in the evening.
