Bodhgaya,
31 January, 2025
From the welcome gate onwards, monks, nuns and laypeople waited, proffering katags, to welcome Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche on his arrival in Bodhgaya.
Young monks scattered flower petals on the road, and the pathway from the monastery gate to the main shrine hall was decorated with designs of the Dharmachakra ( the eight-spoke Wheel of Dharma) and the other seven auspicious symbols (the endless knot, the victory banner, the parasol, the golden fish, the lotus, the conch shell, and the vase), crafted beautifully from flowers and petals.
Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche was received in a Golden Procession, the ultimate honour accorded to high lamas in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
